So where do should I begin…well let’s begin with the beauty of where I’m from….the state of New Jersey. The place where many have their accusations but no one should have the right to talk… unless they have lived here there whole life. I am born and raised in North Jersey and I’m proud of it. I spent my summers, along the Jersey shore…Long Beach Island to be exact. I basked in all of south jersey’s beauty on the island. Whether I was really young learning to bike the first time or it was my 16th summer…the best summer of my life…full of memories I’ll never forget…riding bikes into the quaint town, shopping for unique one of a kind pieces to wear or just something to remind me of how amazing it was there…summer romances, watching the sunset on the bay, photoshoots with my best friend on the jetty rocks at the beach, writing our names in the sand, winning stuffed bears at the permanent carnival called Fantasy Island… Long beach Island the place where I could just….Breakaway…
The song that brings back memories from my 16th summer at Long Beach Island is Breakaway by Kelly Clarkson.
This song brings chills down my spine when I hear it and think back. It’s inspirational song about breaking away and to not give of faith because you got “to take a risk, make a change and breakaway” to really make something of yourself because you deserve the best.
…Each small particle of yellow and cream sand seeps through my toes as the ocean waves whisper their dark secrets with each crashing ebb and tide. The powerful Atlantic waves crash down upon the soft tamed sand, bubbly gently, releasing a salty mist into the sweet summer air. It’s just an ordinary day at the Jersey shore, as I lay upon the delicate sand watching the dark green waves curl up on the shore in a white water tumble. Enveloped by the little mountains of creamy tan sand, seagulls strut around looking for leftover food in hopes for a little mid-afternoon snack. Straight out in front of me lie three stripes: sand, sea and sky, an endless horizon full of life and so many unexplored creatures. The sun’s warmth blankets my back as the summer’s breeze flutters and dances in the wind against my skin. It’s just about dinnertime and a lot of people are heading back to their houses but I just lay here relaxed taking in all of nature’s beauty allowing it to sooth my soul…

…so what are my little obsessions and who am i?
Well I’m twenty two years old, just graduated from the University of Delaware with a Fashion Merchandising major and Entrepreneurial Studies a minor. I’m a born and raised jersey girl just trying to find my place in this world as Taylor Swift states it. Throughout my posts, you will get to read about my 4 little obsessions…
MY 1st LITTLE OBSESSION……creative writing: I love to pick a topic and really paint the canvas to denote my experience in such a detail to breathe life into it. I love describing the sand at the jersey shore and how waves crash and taste of the air. I want to be able to create escape for just a moment and take you to all the most beautiful places in which I’ve been.
MY 2nd LITTLE OBSESSION:…traveling: I love the thrill of a new experience, new breath-taking views and an opportunity to learn something new about myself. Every summer, I have the opportunity to travel somewhere new whether it be the crystal clear blue waters and light tan sand of Mexico or the canals of Venice. I soak in the culture, beauty and the way of life and then share my passion with friends and family but now I want to share it with you.
My 3rd LITTLE OBSESSION: ….fashion: I love to go shopping for the perfect outfit and get the perfect accessories which I obsess over, those timeless pieces like my crystal evil eye bracelet to protect me and bring me good luck and my silver tiffany’s bracelet I wear everyday. I live for dressing up and striving to look my best and I want to share my best outfits and accessories with you.
My 4th LITTLE OBSESSION:….music: Where would I be without music, it completes the masterpiece. Music
is everything to me. I wake up in the morning to turn on my stereo to hear some upbeat tunes of the latest hits, before I go to sleep norah jones has her way of relaxing me into deep slumber. Music is what motivates me everyday. When I’m sad, it comforts me, when I’m happy it dances with me and when I’m just about give up hope it enlightens me and motivates me to not give up and be strong. I want to share with you the songs that move me and touch my heart forever.
